Jermell Charlo is unsure if his twin brother Jermall Charlo will even attend his fight with Canelo Alvarez on Saturday night, reports talksport.com.
The 33-year-old American world champion twins have been ever-present by each other’s sides for the majority of their fights.
Not long ago it would have never been in question that Jermall would be by Jermell’s side for this monumental task.
However, in recent months their relationship has deteriorated.
Now, Jermell the undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO super-welterweight (154lbs) world champion is unsure if his twin Jermall will even attend the fight with Canelo.
“This family affair thing has been really crazy,” he told reporters on Wednesday.
“I try not to touch on that topic too much because, at the end of the day, I love my brother.”
Jermell is jumping up two weight classes to challenge undisputed WBA, WBC, IBF, and WBO super-middleweight (168lbs) world champion Canelo Alvarez in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
