Johannesburg – Internationally acclaimed jazz musician Caiphus Semenya is reportedly demanding payment for two of his songs sampled without permission by slain rapper AKA.
Kaya 959 reports that Semenya is demanding 50% royalties from two songs AKA sampled.
AKA was shot dead earlier this year in February.

The 83-year-old musician has reportedly contacted Sony Music, the record label for AKA, for a settlement on the matter.
The Sunday World reports that the songs AKA sampled are from Semenya’s “Caiphus Song” on the “Touch My Blood” and “Diary” on “Mass Country” album.
Semenya has since rubbished the story as false.
