AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho will be banned for two games and fined €10 000 for his explosive reaction to being sent off.
Mourinho was sent off in his side’s 2-1 loss to Cremonese on Thursday night.
He was then charged with speaking to officials in a “forceful” manner while pitchside and after the full-time whistle.
Mourinho, who was shown a straight red card on the night, his third of the campaign, by referee Marco Piccinini, said: “I’m emotional but not crazy. For the first time in my career a referee has spoken to me in an unjustifiable way.”
Mourinho added: “To have the reaction I had is because something happened. I need to know now if I can do something from a disciplinary point of view.”
