Johannesburg – Some fans are suggesting Bafana Bafana Coach Hugo Broos cannot escape the evidence that Percy Tau deserves a place in the national team after his sterling performance and wonder goal on Wednesday.
Tau scored the second goal for his Egyptian side Al Ahly in their 3-0 walloping of Auckland City in the opening match of the 2022 FIFA Club World Cup in Morocco.
Broos recently omitted Tau from the Bafana squad that played friendlies against Mozambique and Angola saying the star needed to play more regularly for his club side to be recalled.
The 28-year-old South African international came off the bench in the final 15 minutes and showed just how good he can be.
