Durban – A man in his 40s has been shot dead along Sydney Road, near Blake Road, in Umbilo.
The shooting occurred Monday morning at about 08H00.
“A male believed to be in his forties was found lying next to his vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds to his body,” said ALS Paramedics Medical Services
“He was assessed by Advanced Life Support Paramedics, however, he had sustained fatal injuries and there was nothing more paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene.
“At this stage the events leading up to the shooting are unknown.”
SA Police Service officers were on the scene.
The dead man has not been named and no arrests have been reported.
