Johannesburg – Mmusi Maimane has launched his political party named Build One South Africa (BOSA).
Speaking at the launch in Naledi, Soweto, on Saturday – Heritage Day, Maimane – a former Democratic Alliance leader – said: “When you have a dream and you walk alone, you are just going for a walk”.
Maimane added: “But when you have a dream and a few other South Africans who are here in this room … it will take me too long to mention them… they know themselves and they come with you… then you got a posse of crazy people.
“‘Because it’s the crazy ones who change the world, right?”
“Yes” shouted someone in the crowd of supporters clad in new white T-shirts written “BOSA”.
Miaimane continued: “It’s the ones who believe in the impossible that change the world.
“It’s the ones who say we all thought South Africa could never change, but I am here to tell you come 2024 a new South Africa is coming because we are crazy enough to think this country can change.”
The 42-year-old One SA Movement leader said his new BOSA party would soon launch in every province to prepare to contest the 2024 elections.
