The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) on Saturday announced that it has parted ways with Metro FM DJ Mpho Madise – also known as Mo G.
The SABC said the move “follows the termination of his contract, due to material breach of contract”.
The sacked radio presenter recently made headlines when a video of Jabu Brown confronting him in a parking lot outside Disoufeng Pub in Soweto went viral.
Brown claimed he gave Mo G his BMW X3 to test drive for a car segment on Let’s Talk About It With Mo G on Metro FM.
However, Mo G was allegedly nowhere to be found on the day he was supposed to return the car, resulting in the parking confrontation when the two eventually met.
However, SABC did not give details of the “breach of contract”.
“Metro FM will communicate in due course who will take over the show and a big thank you to the team that held the fort during this period,” said METRO FM Business Manage Ms. Kina Nhlengethwa.
