A man thought to be in his 40s died in the early hours of Saturday morning in a collision between a tanker and a bakkie along the M7 Westbound at Wakesleigh Road, eThekwini.
ALS Paramedics Medical Services said the collision occurred “just after 2 am Saturday morning”.
When paramedics arrives they found a tanker and a light delivery vehicle had collided at the intersection.
“The driver of the light delivery vehicle, a male in his forties was found to have sustained fatal injuries,” said ALS Paramedics Medical Services.
“There was nothing more paramedics could do for him and he was declared deceased on the scene.
The driver of the tanker, which had jackknifed, survived the collision unscathed.
Police were on the scene investigating the cause of the fatal crash.
