The man who handed himself over to the police after the Limpopo Christmas Day shooting that left seven people from the same family dead appeared in court on Tuesday.
Named as Azwidohwi Enoch Ndou, the 52-year-old male nurse accused of the multiple murders appeared in Malamulele Magistrate’s Court.
Allegations are that Ndou shot the family members during a fight for ownership of a stand that belongs to their father.
Those shot dead were Mpho Donald Ndou (33), Ndivhuwo Douglas Ndou (33), Portia Mabasa (37), Rendani Winnus Ndou (12), Wanga Ndou (1-year-old girl), Ronewa Ndou (4-year-old boy), and Dakalo Makondo Ndou, the 8-year-old girl who passed away on the way to the hospital.
The suspect was arrested soon after he handed himself over at Thohoyandou Police Station, where he was charged with seven counts of murder.
The case was postponed to Wednesday, 5 January 2022, for further investigations and for the accused to get legal representation.
