Help Find Missing 14-Year-Old Girl, Plead Family, Cops

Police and family members are asking the public to help find 14-year-old Rochelle Prins from Lower Drostdy Street in Kariega, Eastern Cape, who was reported missing on Friday.

The Family Violence Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit in Kariega at the weekend asked for “the community’s assistance” in finding the missing teenage girl who apparently ran away from her mother’s house.

Police said before she went missing, Rochelle and her 16-year-old sister were spending the school holidays with their mother in Kariega.

They were dropped off by their father on Sunday, 3 October 2021. The teenagers reside with their father in Gqeberha (Formerly Port Elizabeth).

On Thursday, 7 October 2021 in the evening the family retired to bed.

On Friday morning, 8 October 2021, the mother discovered that Rochelle was missing. Her bag with clothes was also missing. A letter was left for her father.

It is not known what she was wearing at the time she left the house.

Anyone who can assist police in tracing Prins is asked to contact D/WO Patrick Ndoni on 072 732 4847 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
