Kaizer Chiefs Mauled By Hungry Black Leopards, Hunt Left In Despair

Coach Gavin Hunt on Wednesday could only watch in despair from the sidelines as his lackluster Kaizer Chiefs let a slender 1-0 early lead slip to lose to a determined Black Leopards.

A brace from Tiklas Thuliwa on either side of halftime saw Black Leopard came from behind to win the match 2-1. The home victory at Thohoyandou Stadium gave bottom placed Leopards a glimmer of hope of avoiding relegation.

Chiefs had taken the lead through a Leonardo Castro goal in the 10th minute.

But at full-time, it was the relegation battling Leopards from the north who went away victorious. They, however, for now they remain rooted at the bottom of the 16-team DSTV Premiership log with 22 points from 28 matches.

Chiefs are in 11th position with 30 points from 28 games.
